PLG is looking for an ambitious FP&A CONTROLLER to join our global team to help us transform the overarching company strategy into a long-range plan and to act as a bridge between Finance and all other business areas (Sales, Operations, HR, Project Management, Accounting, Accounts Receivables & Payables, Treasury, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting: Creating a yearly financial plan for the company. Implement annual budgets.
  • Analysis: Reviewing financial data to understand trends and performance.
  • Reporting: to prepare reports to show financial performance (monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments or management, ad-hoc business performance reporting)
  • Forecasting: Predicting future financial outcomes based on current data. Analyze the trends of KPIs, especially those relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, profit margins, working capital, and cash flows.
  • Modeling: to forecast operating and profitability performance and to set annual targets for KPIs.
  • Budget Management: Monitor month-end closing procedure, P&L, and Balance Sheet KPIs, and identify and explain the cause of any unexpected variances.
  • Process Improvement: Finding ways to make financial processes more efficient.
  • Decision Support: Helping management make informed decisions by providing financial insights.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in corporate finance, controlling, accounting, or economics.
  • A Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or an FP&A certification would be a big advantage.
  • 7+ years of experience as FP&A controller.
  • Proven experience working in and analyzing a service-based/consulting industry.
  • Robust planning and analytical skills.
  • Mastery of accounting.
  • Expert-level Excel user.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (PowerBI, Qlikview)
  • Experience with Data Models and/or ETL Tools.
  • Experience with ERPs.
  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Proven experience in explaining financial figures to stakeholders from a non-finance background.
