Vitafoods Europe 2026 will take place in Barcelona May 5-7, 2026, bringing together the global nutraceutical ecosystem, covering ingredients, finished products, services, equipment, and contract manufacturing. With more than 30,000 expected attendees, 1,600+ exhibitors, and participants from over 135 countries, Vitafoods Europe remains a key reference event for the nutrition and consumer health sector.
PLG is attending Vitafoods Europe to stay aligned with the scientific, regulatory, and market dynamics shaping nutrition innovation.
Our nutrition regulatory and scientific experts will be present throughout the event at Hall 6, Booth 6C118 and available to discuss global regulatory strategy, novel food pathways, claims substantiation, quality and lifecycle compliance, and international market access.
During this event, the team will follow key topics and conferences in areas such as gut health, cognitive wellbeing, weight management, and personalized nutrition.
One of the key sessions we will follow is “Gut health: From digestion to total wellness.” The gut has become central to overall wellness, impacting areas such as skin, immunity, weight management, and chronic disease prevention. Increasing focus on the microbiome is driving innovation in gut health solutions and functional ingredients like fiber and postbiotics.
For PLG and our clients, gut health is both a major opportunity and a regulatory challenge. Many gut‑related ingredients face novel food questions, claims substantiation challenges, borderline positioning issues.
Our interest: stay up to date with current innovation and understand how brands are aligning scientific narratives with regulatory constraints and where evidence gaps may still pose challenges to successful market entry.
Cognitive and emotional health is another major conference pillar at Vitafoods Europe with growing demand for nutraceutical solutions supporting brain function, stress management, mood, and sleep. Innovation spans nootropics, adaptogens, functional mushrooms, and other emerging ingredients.
By attending these sessions, PLG aims to identify the latest clinical data and scientific evidence and substantiation. These insights are directly applicable to our work in claims strategy, clinical study design, and regulatory risk management for cognitive and emotional health products.
Vitafoods Europe also places strong emphasis on personalized nutrition, weight management, and lifelong health. Conference discussions will explore how data, diagnostics, and consumer expectations are reshaping nutrition strategies, while also highlighting the regulatory complexity of scaling personalized approaches.
Weight management is a particular focus, including dedicated sessions on nutrition in the context of GLP‑1 therapies. These discussions address formulation strategies, nutritional needs, and regulatory considerations in European markets.
The lifelong health theme reflects growing interest in longevity and prevention. Monitoring the newest science, clinical evidence, and science-based innovative ingredients helps PLG experts guide clients toward efficient product development.
Vitafoods Europe offers a view of current innovation and how science, regulation, and market expectations are evolving together. Attending the event supports our role as a strategic partner, helping companies turn innovation into compliant, market ready products.
We look forward to connecting with industry peers in Barcelona and welcoming visitors at Hall 6, Booth 6C118, to continue discussions on how nutrition innovation can succeed globally.
