As a PMO Coordinator, the role will support the financial and operational success of consulting engagements within the Business Development & Engineering (PD&E) Business Unit.

The role will partner with Delivery Leads, Project Managers, Account Managers, Service Line Leads, and Operations and Finance team members to establish and monitor budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators, (KPIs). The work will drive data-driven decision making, improve project efficiency, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and monitor project plans, resource allocations, forecasts, and capacity plans, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project baselines.
  • Support Project Managers with planning updates, scenario modelling, resource forecasting, workload management, and extension-of-service estimates
  • Provide portfolio-level visibility of project schedules, resource utilization, and FTE demand to support capacity planning and recruitment decisions
  • Analyze project financial performance, including budgets, costs, margins, invoicing, utilization, and key operational KPIs, while preparing dashboards, reports, and management insights
  • Collaborate with project teams to collect estimates, monitor project progress, identify constraints, manage deadlines, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Develop and maintain planning templates, procedures, documentation, and best-practice standards while ensuring compliance with financial processes and governance requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes, identifying root causes, and implementing practical solutions
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare presentations and minutes, provide training and guidance to project stakeholders, and support onboarding/offboarding activities where required
  • Ensure client feedback is appropriately captured and managed while supporting operational reporting and business performance monitoring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 4-6+ years of experience in project finance, financial analysis, project management, or project operations within consulting, life sciences, or professional services
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, pivot tables, reporting, and complex formulas
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skill
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and present financial insights to non-finance audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in life sciences consulting, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, CROs, medical devices, or management consulting
  • Knowledge of consulting KPIs such as utilization, realization, project margins, resource planning, and client profitability
  • Experience with Salesforce, Intacct, Nexonia, Certinia, Tableau, Power BI, or similar business and financial systems
  • Exposure to statistical analysis, data visualization, or predictive modelling
