As a Legal Business Partner, you will provide strategic legal support to PLG and its affiliates, primarily in France/ Europe and also internationally.

This is a generalist role offering broad exposure across commercial, IT/data, compliance, and corporate topics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Contracting

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial/service agreements across PLG’s service lines.
  • Manage SaaS/IT‑enabled service contracts, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and tender responses.
  • Handle client‑facing negotiations to secure compliant, commercially aligned outcomes.

2. Partnerships & Business Development

  • Draft and negotiate partnership, distribution, referral, and collaboration agreements.
  • Support business development initiatives requiring structured legal input.

3. Templates, CLM & Legal Operations

  • Maintain and harmonize templates, clause libraries, NDAs, T&Cs, and playbooks.
  • Contribute to contract lifecycle management, workflows, and risk matrices.
  • Support integration of new affiliates and continuous improvement of legal processes.

4. Technology, Data & Digital

  • Negotiate IT service agreements, software licenses, SaaS contracts, and DPAs.
  • Advise on GDPR, cybersecurity, cloud, data integrity, and digital/AI initiatives.

5. Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Support governance for global entities and help implement group policies (GDPR, ethics, ESG/CSR).
  • Contribute to compliance programs and operational adherence to regulatory standards.

6. Cross‑Functional Legal Partnering

  • Provide daily legal support to commercial, operations, HR, procurement, IT, and data teams.
  • Identify risks, propose pragmatic solutions, and deliver internal training.
  • Ensure alignment with Group Legal and the Legal Director France.

7. Dispute Management

  • Manage litigation, pre‑litigation, and client/supplier escalations in coordination with external counsel.

8. Additional Responsibilities

  • Support legal operations, compliance, IP, real estate, insurance, IT/cyber, and contract optimization projects.

Profile

Education: French‑qualified lawyer / International law background

Experience: 3–6 years in commercial contracting (services, tech, consulting, life sciences), ideally in and international environment

Languages: French / English fluent ; Italian a plus

Skills:

  • Strong contract drafting/negotiation, including complex/high‑stakes agreements.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, IT/data/GDPR, SaaS/cloud, and multinational environments.
  • Organized, autonomous, collaborative communicator; pragmatic, business‑oriented mindset.

Role Evolution

Reporting to the General Counsel France, this role will expand as PLG grows globally. Depending on expertise (IT/Data, compliance, PV/regulatory, corporate), you may lead specific domains and support improvements in tools, processes, and legal operations.
