Integration Specialist

The Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the integration landscape that connects applications, data sources, and business processes across the organization. This role ensures seamless communication between systems, supports digital transformation initiatives, and guarantees that integration solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. The Integration Specialist collaborates closely with business stakeholders, application / service owners, technical teams, and project managers to deliver robust and future-proof integration strategies. ProductLife Group is currently building several integrations between existing and new business applications in the context of a large ERP project with Salesforce, Certinia, NetSuite and SSIS/Mulesoft in scope.

Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design

•Refine the overall integration architecture, patterns, and standards.

•Design end-to-end integration solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

•Select appropriate integration technologies, tools, and platforms.

•Produce architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and technical documentation.

Implementation & Delivery

•Develop and configure integration components.

•If any oversee external development teams during implementation and ensure adherence to architectural guidelines.

•Validate integration designs through reviews, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.

•Ensure integrations are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Governance & Quality Assurance

•Establish integration standards, best practices, and reusable components.

•Define and enforce API governance, versioning, and lifecycle management.

•Conduct technical assessments and troubleshoot complex integration issues.

•Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

•Work with business analysts to understand functional needs and translate them into integration requirements.

•Collaborate with enterprise architect, solution architect, developers, and data teams.

•Provide technical leadership.

•Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk assessment.

Profile & Experience:

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

•Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.

•Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree requirements.

5+ years of experience in system integration, application architecture, or related technical roles.

•Proven experience designing and implementing integration solutions in complex environments.

•Hands-on experience with APIs, middleware, and cloud integration services.

•Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments.

•Demonstrated ability to drive architectural decisions and communicate smoothly with stakeholders.

Skills:

•Expertise with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

•Proficiency with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, and Azure Integration Services.

•Strong knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven).

•Strong skills in data transformation (JSON, XML, ETL tools).

•Expertise with API design and management

•Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cloud-native integration services.

•Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

•Strong understanding of security standards

•Experience in risk mitigation for cross-platform deployments.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

•Adaptability and resilience in a rapidly changing environment.
