Responsibilities

The Human Resources team supports our employee population by providing the structure, care, and development needed for individual employees to be successful in their own careers, which in turn contributes to the overall growth and success of the Company. The Human Resources department is organized in three strategic pillars:

  • HR Shared Services and Talent Analytics: payroll, health and welfare benefits, retirement plan services, and immigration.
  • Human Resources Business Partners: performance management, employee relations, coaching and counseling.
  • People Engagement: corporate social responsibility, diversity, learning, leadership development, internal communications and employee engagement.

You will be part of a growing team and will work closely with PLG’s leadership, the CHRO and the wider team to build out the Talent capabilities for PLG.  This position is the first of its kind and will play a critical role in driving change within our organisation. More specifically, your tasks will include:

  1. Develop and implement talent management strategies, initiatives, and programs that support the recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing employees.
  2. Create and maintain a comprehensive talent management framework including performance management, employee development, succession planning, and career pathways.
  3. Oversee the design and implementation of performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
  4. Drive the development and execution of employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.
  5. Lead the talent acquisition process, including identifying hiring needs, developing job descriptions, and partnering with recruitment teams to attract and select top talent.
  6. Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  7. Collaborate with leaders and managers to identify high-potential employees and create development plans to accelerate their growth and advance their careers.
  8. Design and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a diverse workforce and promote an inclusive culture.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement to drive organizational performance.
  10. Partner with senior leadership to align talent management strategies with business objectives and drive organizational change and transformation.

Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent management or a related field.
  3. Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing talent management strategies and initiatives.
  4. Previous experience working with senior leaders and executives to drive talent management initiatives.
  5. Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse workforce and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  6. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  7. Proven ability to manage and lead change initiatives within an organization.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
